Knowledge – Networking - Opportunities
ASQ1001 in Grand Rapids, Michigan was founded in 1953. It is affiliated with the American Society for Quality (ASQ), an international organization that is helping to create better workplaces and communities, worldwide.
Our local section provides opportunities to increase Knowledge through education and training, workshops and certification. Networking takes place among more than 400 active members through monthly meetings, LinkedIn, and other professional activities. Members benefit from finding employment postings, volunteering for the section and community events, publishing appropriate professional papers and seeking advancement to Senior and Fellow status in ASQ.
ASQ1001 has proudly lead West Michigan companies into the 21st Century and continues to be the “global voice of quality” in West Michigan and beyond.

Lila Villa is a Plant Quality Manager with Hearthside Food Solutions. She has more than 10 years of experience in the food industry. Lila has received accolades from her customer companies for her dedication to food safety and quality. She has earned several certifications, including SQF Practitioner and Sensory Trainer, and has an extensive background in HACCP implementation.
